TRAINING DESCRIPTION

FME can play a crucial role in larger organizational workflows, so it is important to be able to ensure your workspaces run smoothly and to be notified in the event of a problem.

This course will teach you how to build personalized reports and send notifications, such as email, at the end of a process or after certain predefined key steps.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
 

  • Define and extract the information you want to feature in a report
  • Generate a simple report (HTML, Excel, text, CSV, etc.)
  • Generate a process report
  • Generate a summary report
  • Notify users by email

PREREQUISITES

The FME Desktop – Basic course, or basic knowledge of FME

Module 1: Simple reports

  • Defining required report content
  • Generating HTML, Excel, text or CSV reports

Module 2: Summary reports

  • Customizing errors and notifications (process report)
  • Creating summary reports
  • Notifying users by email
