TRAINING DESCRIPTION
The Esri suite offers several data storage methods and formats, such as file geodatabases, enterprise geodatabases (SDE) and ArcGIS Online.
This course will introduce you to the various ways to connect to Esri formats in FME and the best practices in this regard.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
- Choose the right reader/writer to connect to Esri data and configure the associated parameters
- Perform routine operations by connecting to ArcGIS Online
- Compare datasets
- Work with geodatabases
PREREQUISITES
- The FME Desktop – Basic course, or basic knowledge of FME
- Basic knowledge of ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Online

Module 1: Esri readers and writers
- The readers and writers associated with Esri and their parameters
- Connector transformers associated with Esri
- Best practices
Module 2: Geodatabases
- Relationship classes
- Subtypes and domains
- Routine operations with FME and ArcGIS Online
