TRAINING DESCRIPTION

Data reading and writing are basic FME operations, however, many users don’t know how to set their parameters to really get the most out of them. Knowing your readers and writers can greatly reduce processing times and help you cut down on your manual pre- and post-processing steps.

This course will teach you to use FME to efficiently read and write a variety of data.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
 

• Choose between classic readers/writers and FeatureReader/FeatureWriter transformers based on your needs
• Use Connector transformers
• Manage schema sources and data structures separately from data using templates
• Read and write data whose structure and schema may change
• Develop dynamic workspaces whose input and output data may change over time

PREREQUISITES

The FME Desktop – Basic course, or basic knowledge of FME
