Autodesk just released its 3rd update of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 resolving issues like :
- Alignment Spirals: Drawings which contain alignments with spiral curves will no longer change geometry upon open.
- General: Incorrect instances of missing Language pack errors on file open have been resolved.
- Intersections: An issue that caused a regenall to be required in order to see style changes has been resolved.
- Performance Issues: Instances have been addressed where AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 runs out of memory during certain tasks.

Under our current upgrade pricing model, the price of the customer’s upgrade is determined by the product release they own. As of March 16, 2010, customers can upgrade from any of the 3 previous software releases for 50 percent of the price of a new license, no matter which release they own.

Given the heavy workload and the resulting slow response time of the Autodesk development team, as they prioritise numerous requests to improve the features of the software, Consortech has become a self-supporting company and is now in a position to respond more quickly to the unique needs of Civil 3D software users. We also have the capability to customize and configure the software to local requirements, thanks to our market knowledge. The initial developments transformed into new sub-assemblies in Civil 3D which were intended to improve three existing sub-assemblies: LaneOutsideSuper, LaneInsideSuper and LaneTowardCrown.

As a result of our product tours to the cities of Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa and Baie-Comeau, Civil 3D user group meetings have attracted more than 80 participants. This high participation rate confirms that significant numbers of engineering companies, municipalities, and other players in the civil engineering industry have adopted the AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
In a friendly and open atmosphere, users were able to attend a much appreciated presentation where we recommended solutions to the more common problems encountered in using the software. This session also raised numerous questions and reactions from users who recommended alternative ideas or solutions discussed by Martin Côté, application specialist at Consortech.
Please note that our next Civil 3D user group meeting will take place in spring 2009.

Shortly after the FME® certification program was announced by Safe Software, two Consortech GIS application specialists, Remy Pelletier and Lesley MacKenzie, received both Certified FME Trainer and Certified FME Professional certifications.
