It's official! autodesk products are now only availble as subscription!
Keep in mind that perpetual licences you actually have remain the same as long as you protect them with a maintenance plan.
The Autodesk change of business model brings a new terminology. Here are some new expressions that will help you better undertand Autodesk's communications.
- Purchase a subscription = subscribe to (a product)
- Maintenance subscription = Maintenance plan
- Standalone license = Single-user license
- Network license = Multi-user license
- Subscription portal or Subscription center = Autodesk account
product suites sales end on July 31, 2016
This date marks the end of sales for all Autodesk product Suites in perpetual mode. Those Suites will only be offered as subscription with different terms available: 1 month, 3 months, 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years. All product suites you already have and those acquired before July 31, 2016 will continue to operate in perpetual mode, provided that you renew your maintenance plan BEFORE your contract's expiration date. Please note that it will no longer be possible to make changes like network activations or migrations to other perpetual licenses after July 31, 2016.
